Biography

Hailing from Compton, California, DJ Hubcap has enjoyed a low-key yet consistent level of success behind the decks. Spinning Hip Hop, House, and Funk, Hubcap consistently builds momentum with a simple combination of clean transitions and choice selections. He got his start as a Hip Hop DJ at house parties in Los Angeles and San Francisco during the early 2000’s, and eventually broke into California’s vibrant nightclub circuit.After honing his mixing skills in the LA and SF nightlife scenes, Hubcap made his way to Hip Hop’s Mecca – New York City. A long-time student of New York Hip Hop, and an eclectic samplist of various styles and genres, he was able to etch out just the niche needed to represent his style.

A crowd-tested Turntablist, Mixologist, and Samplist, DJ Hubcap currently lends his talents to underground MC’s from Compton, Oakland, and New York City, while also servicing a diverse variety of international artists from various regions of Europe and Africa.
