Masicka is bringing a new major Dancehall event to his home city of Portmore, Jamaica. The artist will headline the inaugural Forever1NE Music Festival at Caymanas Park on December 19, 2026, marking his first major solo headline show in the city.
The festival is being presented by Masicka and his 1Syde team in partnership with Zimi Entertainment, with Magnum serving as title partner. Masicka is currently the confirmed headline artist, while additional performers and further details about the festival experience are expected to be announced ahead of the event.
A Homecoming for Masicka
The Portmore location gives Forever1NE a direct connection to Masicka’s own story.
Masicka has publicly described Portmore as home, and bringing the new festival there places the event directly in the community connected to his development as an artist.
Rather than simply adding another international live date, Forever1NE gives Masicka a dedicated hometown platform and puts Portmore at the center of a new Dancehall event.
Forever1NE Aims Beyond a One-Off Show
The inaugural edition may also become the starting point for something larger.
Zimi Entertainment has publicly described Forever1NE as an event with the potential to grow into a significant Jamaican live entertainment property. Future editions have not yet been confirmed, but that ambition gives the December launch additional relevance.
The event arrives during an active period for Masicka following the release of his 2026 album Forever Reign, while his international profile continues to expand.
Jamaica Remains Central to Dancehall
Dancehall now reaches audiences, DJs and artists around the world, but Jamaica remains central to the culture’s identity, history and continuing development.
That makes events such as Forever1NE particularly relevant. A major artist is not simply taking the music onto another international stage; the event is being built directly in Jamaica and specifically in the city Masicka identifies as home.
That local foundation gives the festival a different cultural context from a conventional touring appearance.
Why Forever1NE Matters for DJ-League
Dancehall is one of the four core genres represented by the DJ-League, alongside HipHop, R&B and Oldschool.
The DJ-League’s international editorial and network structure is designed to connect DJs and music communities with the artists, locations and cultural developments shaping those genres worldwide.
Forever1NE therefore fits directly into the DJ-League’s wider Dancehall coverage: it connects a major contemporary Dancehall artist with Portmore, Jamaica and a new live event rooted in the culture’s home country.
The DJ-League does not currently present Portmore or Jamaica as an established network stronghold. Coverage of verified developments like Forever1NE instead helps expand the platform’s factual geographic and cultural visibility around Dancehall without creating artificial network connections.
Readers can continue exploring the DJ-League’s wider Dancehall coverage and discover Dancehall DJs represented across the international network.
