Anderson .Paak & Cordae Release “A Good Day” Ahead of Joint Album

Anderson .Paak and Cordae have released “A Good Day,” the first single from their upcoming collaborative album Heavy Is The Crown. The track arrived worldwide on September 16, 2026, through APESHIT + EMPIRE and Hi Level + Mass Appeal, with the album scheduled for October 23.

Built around a sample of Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day,” the new single combines a warm soul foundation with a clear HipHop focus. Anderson .Paak brings his trademark melodic delivery and rhythmic phrasing, while Cordae keeps the record grounded in rap. The result connects classic influences with a current release without moving away from the musical identity that has defined their previous collaborations.

A Collaboration That Has Been Building for Years

“A Good Day” is not the first time Anderson .Paak and Cordae have worked together. Their history includes “RNP” from Cordae’s 2019 album The Lost Boy, followed by tracks including “Two Tens” and “Summer Drop.” Heavy Is The Crown now turns that recurring chemistry into a full collaborative project.
