DJ Pepo Starr

Biography

DJ Pepo Starr began his adventure as a DJ in 2006 when he bought his first turntables, after discovering years before his passion for HipHop and music with black roots, he began playing local Rap groups. In 2008 he began to do his first sessions in some bars and clubs in the city. and together with a friend from high school they form “FUCKIN’DJS SOUND” they begin to venture into styles such as Reggae, Dancehall, Dembow or Jungle…DJOTA PE takes his first steps as a speaker. In 2012-2013, after the construction of the first Studio, he began to upload his first mixtapes to the internet and soundcloud, to record dubplates for national and international artists… and to perform in different parts of the peninsula (Granada, Coruña, Salamanca) acting as Opening act for some of the most representative Hiphop and Reggae artists on the Spanish scene. In 2017 they participated in the Rueda Festiva as opening act for the Puerto Rican “Residente” (Calle13), Opening in Valladolid for SKATALATIES and ROOTS & CULTURE 2017 in Madrid together with King Shorty(Colombia), Ras Twelde (Italy), Ashante Amen(Jamaica) and many more artists. This same year, he began doing Backing in the north of Spain for established artists such as MR.RANGO (CPV) LION SITTE, BUBU JAY, BENJAMMIN (UK) or HERMANO L. He is currently a resident DJ every Friday at “EL FAROL DE CANTARRANAS” (Valladolid) apart from accompanying some local groups and some of the named artists live.
