DJ Ian Smooth

Biography

Started in 2007 under the Mentorship of a Foundation  DJ HANDY G (Now The Late) with 25 years experience in a remote countryside of Mutoko, then RELOCATED to the Capital Harare in 2010, where I met my final Mentor DJ DEAN OF SOUL. I upgraded my techniques and adjusted to fit in the local and global market by learning to play for Lounging and Clubbing Audiences. In 2012 I was summoned on National Radio (Power FM) to play a live dj-set after they had accessed my pre-recorded Dj Mixtape. In 2015 I was the third and final participant to take part in a Dj Cultural Exchange between Harare, Zimbabwe  and Detroit (USA) DJs. In 2016 I was asked to do a global remix for a Jamaican singer (Jah Mason) by his management and marketing team. Currently I work as an Indoor and outdoor Dj & Record Producer.
