Biography

Joaquín González, aka DJ EDN, was born in Seville, Spain.

He began his career in 2008 as a DJ at venues and clubs throughout the province. His work is characterized by the musical diversity and dynamism of his sets, which range from R&B, club, and dancehall, to trap, Shatta, and even Afrobeats and (commercial) Latin music. Hip-hop stands out as his signature style, with influences ranging from the most classic sounds to contemporary ones. This can be seen in the various tracks and mixtapes he has collected throughout his career, which spans more than 20 years in the DJ scene.

His professional career began at Sala Bandalai in Seville, where he has been a resident DJ to this day. Years later, he took on other residencies at venues such as Diamond Lounge in Rota (Cádiz) and Antique ‘Black’ in Seville. Little by little, he advanced in his profession, performing at venues throughout nearly all of Andalusia, which paved the way for him to conquer cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, and Cologne (Germany).

One of DJ EDN’s achievements has been his participation in the I.P.R. (International Party Rockers) collective, where he was able to collaborate with various DJs from around the world. Also noteworthy is his participation in urban radio shows in Seville, as well as festivals and concerts such as the 30th anniversary of SFDK, featuring Tony Touch, Bad Bunny, Arcangel, and others.
