The Hercules DJControl T10 brings traditional turntable techniques into a digital performance environment. With two motorized 10-inch vinyl platters, a contactless crossfader and Serato Stem Slip integration, the controller is designed for scratch DJs, turntablists and open-format performers who want hands-on control without abandoning modern DJ software.
Bringing Turntable Techniques into Digital DJing
or decades, scratching, beatjuggling and precise vinyl manipulation have shaped the technical foundations of HipHop DJ culture. While digital controllers have transformed the way DJs work, the physical response of a moving record remains important to many performers.
Hercules addresses this connection with the DJControl T10, first shown at NAMM 2026 in January and officially introduced in September.
Instead of conventional jogwheels, the controller features two belt-driven, motorized 10-inch platters fitted with genuine vinyl records, Dr. Suzuki slipmats and slipsheets.
The concept combines familiar turntable movements with the flexibility of a modern two-channel DJ controller.
Hercules DJControl T10: Precision Scratching and Stem Control
At the center of the T10 is the InduXfader, Hercules’ contactless crossfader approved by Innofader. Using electromagnetic induction, it allows DJs to adjust crossfader tension, curve, reverse settings and cut-in distance according to their preferred technique.
The integration of Serato Stem Slip adds another creative dimension.
By combining Serato Stems with Slip functionality, DJs can temporarily manipulate or isolate elements of a track while maintaining its playback position. This creates opportunities for vocal scratches, instrumental breakdowns and live edits without losing the underlying musical timing.
Dedicated Stems buttons, 16 RGB performance pads across both decks and FX paddles provide additional controls for live routines and transitions.
Two Computers and Professional Connectivity
The DJControl T10 also accommodates DJ changeovers and back-to-back performances.
Two USB-C connections allow DJs to connect separate computers and switch between them without repeatedly disconnecting cables.
Professional connectivity includes balanced XLR master outputs, separate booth outputs, headphone connections and microphone and auxiliary inputs.
Serato DJ Pro, including the Pitch ‘n Time DJ expansion, and DJUCED PRO are included with the controller.
What DJs Should Consider Before Buying
The T10 is built around a computer-based workflow. It does not offer standalone mixing without DJ software and does not replace the flexibility of a traditional setup with separate turntables and an independent mixer.
Its large platters also require more physical space than smaller DJ controllers.
At the time of writing, October 27, 2026, Thomann lists the Hercules DJControl T10 at €1,279 in Germany, with an estimated delivery time of three to four weeks.
Individual DJs will ultimately need to assess whether the motorized controls, software integration and performance features justify the investment for their particular workflow.
Why It Matters to HipHop and Turntablism Culture
From the DJ-League perspective, the most interesting aspect of the T10 is not simply the hardware itself, but its attempt to connect established turntable skills with newer digital techniques.
Scratching, timing, musical creativity and technical precision remain essential elements of HipHop DJ culture, regardless of whether a performance uses traditional vinyl, digital media or a combination of both.
The DJ-League DJ Skills collection highlights these abilities through performances by DJs from different countries.
During the Thomann DJ Days 2026, the DJ-League also experienced performances by DMC champions DJ Robert Smith and DJ ND, demonstrating the continued importance of technical skill within modern DJ culture.
The Hercules DJControl T10 reflects an ongoing development in DJ equipment: digital tools are becoming increasingly integrated with the physical techniques that helped define turntablism.
Whether this approach becomes part of a DJ’s professional setup will depend less on the feature list and more on how naturally the equipment supports their individual performance style.
