DJ Mastertrack’s Japan Debut with DJ Masatop in Tokyo

SPAIN MEETS JAPAN – A special night of music, international connection and unforgettable memories in Tokyo.

TOKYO, JAPAN – October 2, 2026. What started as a Friday night DJ session in Tokyo’s Kinshicho district became a personal milestone for Spanish DJ Mastertrack. The Málaga-based DJ made his first-ever appearance behind the decks in Japan, sharing the booth with Tokyo‘s DJ Masatop at The Kura music bar.

From Málaga to Tokyo – A Special DJ Experience

The event, announced as Friday Night in Kinshicho, brought together two DJs from different musical backgrounds and countries for an evening dedicated to R&B, HipHop, Reggae and more.

Hosted at The Kura in Tokyo’s Sumida district, the party began at 7 PM and offered music lovers an opportunity to experience an international DJ pairing in an intimate nightlife setting.

For DJ Mastertrack, whose musical roots lie in R&B, HipHop and OldSchool culture, the performance represented something more than another appearance on his DJ calendar.

It was his first time performing in Japan.

A Warm Welcome and Memories That Last

Several days after the event, DJ Mastertrack shared a heartfelt message in Spanish and Japanese, reflecting on the experience and expressing his appreciation for everyone involved.

He thanked The Kura for giving him the opportunity to perform in Japan, DJ Masatop for sharing the DJ booth, and the people who joined them that evening.

Describing the night as a particularly meaningful experience, he emphasized how warmly he had been welcomed and how much he enjoyed sharing music, meeting people and connecting with the local audience.

The memories clearly stayed with him long after the music had stopped.

His message also included a personal wish: to return to Japan soon and hopefully perform alongside DJ Masatop again.

Spain Meets Japan – Connected Through Music

Beyond the performance itself, the night reflected something fundamental about DJ culture: music creates connections that go beyond geography and language.

DJ Mastertrack represents Málaga, Spain, while DJ Masatop is based in Tokyo, Japan. Both DJs are part of the international DJ-League community.

Their joint appearance at The Kura provides a real example of two DJs from different countries sharing a stage, exchanging musical experiences and building personal connections.

For the DJ-League, documenting these real experiences is an important part of making international HipHop and R&B culture visible.

Two DJs, Two Countries, One Shared Passion

The October 2 performance was more than a memorable travel experience for DJ Mastertrack. It was an opportunity to bring his music to a new country, connect with another DJ and experience Tokyo‘s nightlife firsthand.

His post-event message made one thing clear: he hopes this will not be his last performance in Japan.

Whether another shared DJ session takes place remains to be seen. For DJ Mastertrack, the evening at The Kura remains a special memory — and a real example of international DJ collaboration.

Two countries. Two DJs. One shared passion for music.
