Biography

The Dean Of Soul, also known simply as DOS. He is quintessentially the purveyor of soul music in its entirety with over 20 years of experience, having been DJ-ing at countless Clubs and Events in notable major cities around the world. The name Dean Of Soul is synonymous among his peers and soul enthusiasts with the genre and its sub-genres ranging from Adult Contemporary, Soul, RnB, Neo-Soul, Nu-Soul, Nu-Jazz, Psychedelic and to all kinds Old School music. He loves the idea of being an underground DJ, caters for an upmarket, and upwardly mobile clientele who know and understand their music. When it comes to curated events Dean Of Soul can easily adapt as he can also play Open Format. He also can quickly adapt to a wide range of events and parties such as corporate functions, elegant weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and graduations. The Dean Of Soul started on a project on many  platforms of promoting and sharing soul music through the group he initiated, Soul Sophistocrats and the current new one called Soul Indaba. He has also worked and collaborated on projects with like-minded individuals from all over the world who share the same vision and sound, i.e.Neo Soul Café (US), Soul Commune (UK), ISSM (US), Musiqave.com (UK), SoulCandi and Cape Town Soul Community (SA).

Currently a resident DJ in 5 of the most premium Clubs in Cape Town. He has also held residency at most clubs even dabbling in radio as well.
