Biography

Fabio Fernandes, also known on the streets as FABINHO BW, is a Dj with many years dedicated to music, starting his first steps in the scene in the late 80s, to be more precise in 1989. He owns a technique and expertise as rarely seen, with cuts, scratches and precise and refined musical feeling. Fabinho BW, in 31 years of dedication to the art of turntables, has already traveled a long journey within the music scene of São Paulo. In 1999, he participated in the recordings of the cd: FESTA DOS DJ’s, together with personalities and big names from the scene in the art of discs. He also performed at one of the festivals with the highest visibility and public among all festivals of the genre, VIRADA CULTURAL in the state of SP, where he was present in the last 09 editions of the event (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 , 2018 and 2019). He worked with the legendary NELSON TRIUNFO, and with renowned bands and artists. In 2014, he became CHAMPION OF THE BATTLE OF DJ’S IN SÃO BERNARDO DO CAMPO. In addition to the title, Fabinho became the first DJ to receive a motorcycle as a prize for his conquest, a fact then unprecedented in the scenario, CHAMPION OF THE DMC ELIMINATORY BRAZIL in 2014, HIP HOP BATTLE OF THE MONTH CHAMPION in 2016 and PUNCH NA GANGRENA BATTLE CHAMPION (SNG) 2016 and VICE in 2017. Fabinho BW has a social work called AMATEUR DJ BRASIL, in which he reveals new talents in the art of DJing. He also works as a DJ (CIDADE NEGRA). He teaches several DJ’s the technique he acquired with this long walk at the ARAME RECORDS school in SP -BRASIL. Since the second half of 2019 Fabinho BW is in EUROPE bringing its BRAZILIAN MUSIC project for the entire continent. He played, during this first semester in Europe in renowned places, such as DOCA LOUNGE, GELATO BAR, TRAGOATUA BAR and AMOR RECORDS. He was a resident, for a period of 6 months, at CINEMA SÃO JORGE, where he participated in festivals MOTELx (Sep/19), QUEER LISBOA (Sep/19), PARTY OF FRENCH CINEMA (Oct/19), DOCLISBOA (Oct/19), VIEWS FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN (Nov/19), SURF AT LISBON FILM FEST (SAL) (Nov/19).
